The American Sugarbush Harlequin Draft is a rare, versatile spotted draft horse breed originating from a 1999 cross between a Percheron mare and a Stonewall Sport Horse. Standing 15.2 to 17 hands, they are known for their leopard coat patterns, intelligent, willing temperament, and suitability for riding, driving, and showing. The breed was saved from extinction by the ASHDA, with fewer than 100 registered in 2015, focusing on preserving original, high-quality, and spotted, yet athletic, draft characteristics
