I value this model so much, and not only because he’s beautiful. I am heavily involved with therapeutic riding and understand what a special horse it takes to do that sort of job. That zip can do it while being totally blind speaks to his incredibly kind and trusting nature.
I have had a ton of eye problems myself and will also eventually be completely blind, so I understand what he’s gone through. Both of us have lost our right eye, so we even match. ;)
I learned that zip lives not too far from one of the locations where I see my eye surgeon. The people at his barn were incredibly friendly and let me meet all of the horses, zip included. He was a total sweetheart, no surprise.
