- Name
- MVF Dancing Winds
- References
- The Nez Perce is a relatively new breed, started in 1994, as an attempt to remake the original Appaloosa horses developed by the Nez Perce Native American tribe. The original Appaloosa horses were lighter, faster, and leaner than most stock type Appaloosas seen today. Akhal Tekes were crossed with Appaloosa horses to result in a leaner horse which is a more accurate representation of the Appaloosas prior to Quarter Horse bloodline introduction in the 1870's.
