What is considered vintage in model Horses

I have been hearing conflicting post on what is considered vintage in model horses ! anyone have any ideas .

The show holder will specify this in their rules or class description - I've seen people using a cut-off date, for example 'made before the year 2000', or an age limit where they state the models must be over 20/25/30 years old.

The actual age does vary from show to show, though, as it's up to each show holder what they feel is old enough to qualify as a vintage release. At 40-something I tend to think any model older than me is truly vintage, but an 18-year-old show holder could feel the same way!

Thank you for the reply ! Sense I have been showing models sense about 1979 or so I have models that are over 50 years old ! I guess like you said it depends on the show holder ! I am with you on the shelves , I keep adding them and for some reason they keep filling up !!!!

Another thing to check for is if the host is specifying the age of the "model" or the "mold" for the vintage designation. There may be a mold that was created long ago, but if the host is saying "molds older than xx years" there may be more recent models on that mold that would fit the criteria.
