Breed assignment for Uff Da?

Hi everybody,

I’m trying to figure out a breed assignment for this year’s Breyerfest Uff Da (blue roan pinto on the galloping Welsh Cob mold) that would keep a Scandinavian breed connection. I’m thinking maybe Fjord x Icelandic. If I show him, it’ll be in performance classes, not halter. When I look at the model, he reminds me of some of the grade horses I used to ride when I was taking lessons.

Personally, I would not expect him to be a Fjord cross simply because all(?) Fjords are homozygous Dun and it's unlikely for a cross to be not dun like Uff Da. I haven't started showing mine yet but I was thinking I'd show him as a grade Cob!

I did find a couple of photos on Tumblr of Fjord x Icelandic crosses that were pintos (not blue roan pintos though). Just leting him be a grade is probably the safest and easiest thing, I guess. Thanks!
